Upcoming Events

Beaumaris Probus has many Interest Group meetings, outings, functions and visits. The diary is very busy. We wish to minimise “clashes” between activities so that members have maximum choice. The Activities Planner is a working document to assist Interest Group leaders when scheduling an activity. Please note, more activities will be added, others might change. Always check with your Interest group leader.

Firm dates of Club events for the next 90 days appear in our newsletter and below in Upcoming Events

Billy Elliot -The Musical - Saturday 25th May at 2.00pm

National Theatre, Barkly Street, St Kilda

The musical is based on the 2000 film of the same name. The music is by Elton John. The plot revolves around Billy, a motherless British boy who begins taking ballet lessons. The story of his personal struggle and fulfillment are balanced against a counter-story of family and community strife caused by the miners’ strike of 1984-85 in County Durham in northern England.

The original production premiered in the West End in 2005, followed by Broadway with subsequent tours of North America and the UK.
