Andrew Kerr has been a longstanding member of the Brighton community, having spent most of his life in the area. He attended Brighton Grammar School as a student for fourteen years and has since dedicated fifty years to the school as a staff member. Throughout his career at Brighton Grammar, Andrew has served in various roles—including class teacher, music teacher, and, more recently, as a part-time organist for chapel services and assemblies.
Andrew is married to Susan and is a stepfather to three children. He is also a proud grandparent to seven grandchildren.
An accomplished musician, Andrew is the organist at St Peter’s Brighton Beach and regularly accompanies the Bayside Sing Australia group. He also serves as the organist for two Freemason Lodges.
Andrew’s interests extend beyond music and education. He is a member of the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) for over fifty years, a life member of the Melbourne Racing Club, and a member of the Marylebone Cricket Club. In football, he supports both the West Coast Eagles (WCE) and Melbourne Football Club (MFC).
