A booking form for day out -Geelong ferry, Archie 100 Expo, lunch
Travel to the Port Phillip Ferries terminal at Harbour Esplanade, Docklands by train, tram and walk to catch the 11.00 am Geelong Flyer ferry.
Relax for the 90 minute voyage with great views of the Yarra estuary and the Bay western shores with refreshments available from the on-board cafe, the latter added since our Port Arlington ferry trip in 2018.
The Geelong Gallery, an easy 15 minute walk from the Geelong ferry terminal, is the exclusive Victorian venue to host Archie 100: A Century of the Archibald Prize, which celebrates 100 years of Australia’s oldest and most-loved portrait award.
After viewing the exhibition we walk to The Geelong Boat House for lunch. Situated over the water close to the ferry terminal, fish and chips are their specialty (the best in Geelong) An alternative dish is burger and chips. Salad and a cake is also included. A bar service is available.
The return ferry ride to Docklands departs at 4.00pm from the nearby terminal for the journey home.
